Celebration of national Youth Day 12th January 2008

12 JANUARY, BIRTH DAY OF SWAMI VIVEKANAND CELEBRATED AS NATIONAL YOUTH DAY in JNV Mahoba under guidance of honourable Principal Mr. Devendra Singh.

Scouts and Guides have played important role in above function . Photo of Swami Vivekanand was garlanded by honourable Principal.

Students spoken on the life history and contribution of Swami ji towards progress of our country. In 1984 the government of India declared and decided to observe the birthday of Swami Vivekanand 12 January(according to English calendar) as national youth day for every year from 1985.

On words to quote from the government of India’s communication . It was felt. That philosophy of Swami ji and ideals for which he lived and worked could be a great source of inspiration for Indian youth.

Essay competion was conducted on this day for juniors, on the life history of Swami Vivekananda and for Seniors, contribution of Swami ji on Progress of our Country.
